Dance troupe Divinity will launch their first full length production titled The Power of Lipstick on March 6.
Not coincidentally the show benefiting the women’s shelter will be presented on International Women’s Day.
The all-female semi-professional dance troupe will stage the hour and a half long production at UQAM’s sale Marie Gérin-Lajoie and say all profits earned will be donated directly to the West Island’s Women’s Shelter.
The show will be a whose who from the local dance world and will feature such well-known dancers as Sonya Barns, founder of the MacDonald High School dance program, Ivana Junek founder of Studio A, which has a school in Vaudreuil-Dorion and Dayle King, Queen of Angels Academy dance program coordinator.
Other notables include choreographer Sonia Balazovjech and Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot dancers Jenny Dailey, whose twin sister Jayme Rae placed third last October on season two of So You Think You Can Dance Canada.
Jenny Dailey auditioned for season three of the hit CTV show, but has not revealed whether or not she made it through.

Full length show features Dailey twins
Several Vaudreuil-Soulanges dancers, including So You Think You Can Dance Canada alum Jayme Rae Dailey, will be featured this weekend in a dance show to help raise money for a West Island Women’s Shelter.
