More than 30 exhibitors will be on hand this Saturday in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue as the town hosts its third annual Community Wellness Day on August 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, the brain child of local doctor Paola DeCicco, who runs the Centre Holistique Paciencia in Ste. Anne’s, will take place rain or shine Saturday in front of city hall, on rue Sainte-Anne.
Alison Birss, who is in charge of economic development for the West Island CLD, says it is a “wonderful community event.”
“We have a host of alternative health practitioners who are all working together just to give people information,” she said, adding, “They’re not selling anything; it really is just to bring people together.”
Last year’s event saw some 500 participants take part, Birss noted. “People really loved it.”
On hand this weekend will be health experts, health groups, nutritionists, music and speakers including osteopaths, chiropractors, yoga instructors, alternative health practitioners, sports instructors and more. There will also be demonstrations on food composting and environmental kitchen design.
