An ongoing series of six free BBQ cooking workshops will continue tonight in Pincourt beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Olympique Park’s Desjardins Kiosk. Tonight’s menu will feature goose and pork dishes which will be supplied from Domaine Delahaye. The Saint-Clet farm raises and produces its own wild turkey, geese and pork and does not use hormones, additives, or medications, according to its website. All Domaine Delahaye foods are produced in the commercial kitchen at the farm. The same menu items from Domaine Delahaye will also be featured during the third workshop in the series, taking place on July 11.
Pincourt Recreation and Community Services Director Simon Grenier said the popularity of last summer’s inaugural BBQ workshop series, featuring only locally grown or produced foods that are then prepared by local chefs, made it easy to offer the series again this summer.
“This is an innovative activity endorsing the current enthusiasm for culinary arts and cooking on the grill... It allows us to showcase local culinary talents and local producers,” he said.
In addition to tonight and July 11, the Wednesday BBQ workshops will take place August 1, 8 and 15. Always at the same time and location
Each workshop will include a limited number of food tastings and the chance to win two door prizes per workshop. All recipes featured will be available on the Town of Pincourt’s website at www.villepincourt.qc.ca.
