Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau performs Annie
The sun’s coming out for local students
More than 100 students from Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau Elementary School in Vaudreuil-Dorion are betting their bottom dollar that an ambitious musical production they will present later this month will be a hit with audiences.
In a first for the Lester B. Pearson School, two separate casts will present theatrical productions of Annie, on April 23 & 24, at the Opti-Centre St-Jean Baptiste, in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Music teacher Linda Dowker says she decided to stage the event this year when her students displayed a broad range of talent early-on in the school year.
“I had it in mind to do (one day) and I just realized that I had a lot of talented kids,” she said.
With 30 students in each cast, and others helping with set and costume design, almost all of the schools Cycle 3 students (grades 4, 5 & 6) are involved in the production. (Bianca Diorio)
