Lending a ceremonial hand

In a formal ceremony not often seen by the public, members of Hudson’s Masonic Lodge doled out close to $2,000 in charity contributions earlier this month.

Leaders and members of the Scouts Canada Hudson chapter accepted $1,400 from the Masons that will help 30 scouts participate in an upcoming International Development Project in Namibia.

Meanwhile Nova Hudson, a non-profit healthcare organization, was awarded $5,000. The funds will allow the group - which does not receive federal or provincial support – to continue offering healthcare in the region.

Hudson’s Masonic Lodge members host a handful of annual social activities every year in order to raise funds.
